A brief search on Google was not particularly helpful, as you probably already know, Sandra. I wish I could be more helpful. However, I would not give up on eBay. I prepared this video on how to set up a “favorite search” in your eBay account so you can receive a daily email from eBay when anyone lists a copy of “My Turn On Earth” sheet music.

Years ago when my children were young Kristen Randall had music out at Deseret Book on tapes–before CD’s. The children’s music was fun and taught many important gospel teaching. One was called “The Good Shepherd” and the other was “My Faith Grows Like a Seed”. My family wore the tapes out–really wore them out. My daughter wants to share these wonderful songs with her children but they are not re-released on either tapes or CD’s. We have the sheet music for “The Good Shepherd” but when traveling in a car turning on good, fun music which leads towards Christ with younger children in mind is a tool all young parents can use. I credit those tapes and others by Janice Kapp Perry as helping the testimony growth in my family. I am looking for tapes that are still playable that can be transferred into a format my grandkids can learn from. Thanks!
Thanks for posting here, Krista. Maybe someone out there can post here where to find them. BTW, since creating my favorite eBay search for “My Turn on Earth” sheet music, I still have not seen any. I never dreamed it would be so hard to find some of this old music.
TA-DA! Here it is five months later and someone has finally listed a “My Turn on Earth Pearson Piano Book Vocal” on eBay. I opened my email this morning, and there it was… a notification from eBay about a listing for my saved search. The auction ends on July 18th, 2008, so I won’t give the link here, since it will be over quickly. I am sure anyone interested can find it in the eBay search engine.
So my point is… saved searches on eBay do work. For some hard-to-find things it can be your best bet.
i grew up listening to my faith grows like a seed, and the good shepherd. i am having such a time trying to find copies of them. if anyone can help, i’d sure appreciate it!
Maybe some LDS recording artists will read this and decide the time is right to re-do some of these “oldies but goodies.”
